Priya Rajgopalan Nguyen
Yet another sister-in-law to be! Priya is married to Alan's brother Andy. She is very kind and helpful, and very resourceful. I look forward to having her support, and her help in giving this event some cultural flair!
Ali Griggs
I met Ali when I joined the Elementary Education program at NCSU. Throughout student teaching she has been a wonderful friend who has always been there to listen, give advice, and of course, share a few laughs. She is also very creative and has a great sense of style. I'm glad to have her on my team! I'm so thankful that she is as excited as I am to plan the event.
Moira Duncan
Of course, there is my sister Moira. All siblings have their battles, but over the past year we have truly become closer. While her tastes may differ from mine, her input has been helpful in envisioning an event that everyone will enjoy. Over the summer Moira tied the knot and is now expecting her first child just days after the wedding. Really baby Hailey could come at any time. Hopefully she will not crash the party, but as they say...the more the merrier.
Bridesmaids are not just there to support the bride on her big day, but they are also her most stunning accessories. Coordinating bridesmaid attire can be difficult since most people have different tastes in style and what looks good on them.
I would consider myself a practical person, and most definitely creative. I wanted to offer my bridesmaids the opportunity to select their own dresses following some loose criteria. In this way, everyone will be happy with their dress and can truly shine as individuals.
Below are some samples of dress styles I like. I am a big fan of the knee-length cocktail dress. Although the wedding is in the late afternoon, North Carolina summers can be brutal. Why not keep cool and be cute?
The only criteria that I have are color. My palette includes apple green, and coral pink. Here are some examples of dresses in this color. I especially like photo one because the dresses incorporate all colors.
I really love these dresses even though they aren't exactly coral, they work really well together. This is the variation I had in mind.
